Under the supervision of our Medical Director and your personal physician, our team of highly qualified nurses provides continuous nursing care according to your individual needs, including help with medication, dressing and eating. Special rehabilitative services such as physical, occupational and speech therapy are offered, as well. Nurse call systems in each room and the attentive staff nearby ensure your sense of peace and well-being.

In a city known for excellence in acute health care, the Episcopal Church Home has established a solid reputation for innovation in the field of long-term care, particularly for individuals with memory loss disorders.  The new Memory Care Center of Excellence, opened in February 2003, is a cutting-edge endeavor founded on the premise that surrounding people with life….plants, pets, children, social opportunities and a sense of purpose…preserves their sense of independence longer than traditional institutional settings.  Because managing their lives successfully in the world at-large may be difficult for people with memory loss, the Center brings the world to residents, with everything from on-site stores to beautiful, secure outside garden areas.  Affiliations with local research universities, including the University of Kentucky’s Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, and the Alzheimer’s Association (Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana Chapters) assist us in gaining a deeper understanding of memory loss and effective treatments.
